We are in Peg-3 Jerco. It appears all the fiber is humg down Jerco Road, AND they have already got to our house. Are we close to going online? Fairpoint is doubling prices in 3 weeks. Thanks LREC

Our neighborhood is finally a green zone, but I cant find how to schedule a specific service start time. also, the "contact us" button from the dashboard is bringing up a 404 broken link error.

Please come to in inner parts of Tahlequah. TPWA is too expensive and has terrible customer service. Trust me when I tell you that having fiber in the city will be a big hit.

Are you planning on doing a internet package update anytime soon?

User Avatar

11:53AM January 09, 2022

Aaron Anderson
Will you be adjusting the data limit on the lower packages? Looking at other providers they have no data limit and not everyone will need 1gig download speeds.

User Avatar

Lake Region Technology & Communications
Aaron, we now offer unlimited data on ALL our internet packages. They should be updated on the website www.LakeRegionFiber.com

Lake Region: Last update on your web page was June 15th, 2021. You have so many people looking for a current timeline and estimated install of fiber to their streets. It is frustrating to see friends a mile away with fiber and we have no / outdated information. Please do a weekly updates to the site so we feel like you are hearing us.

Any news on wheeler addition in Tahlequah? Been trying to get you guys for years now.

User Avatar

Lake Region Technology & Communications
Nick, we understand the need for reliable and fast internet. However, we are still building our members (LREC electric meters) in the rural areas of Cherokee and Wagoner Counties. Once this is completed, we will then review and look at housing addition. We have infrastructure near and look at the cost to build in (example Wheeler Addition). We are also still in talks with the City of Tahlequah (TPWA) on a partnership on providing Lake Region fiber in areas TPWA services. However, we still have miles of the LREC line we need to complete on our LREC poles before exploring options of using other companies' easements and poles. We hope you can understand this is an extensive infrastructure project and will take time to complete.

Has anyone in Gre 1 or2 shave service up & running?

User Avatar

2:29PM September 08, 2021

Alex Crowley
Gre2. No service yet. They said in one of their comments on facebook they were running accounts for couple of weeks to test the network before they started doing home installs. which was nearly 3 weeks ago.

Do we have a date that COW 3- Porter will have service and not just Starting August 2021? I have box on house and was told by worker just waiting on line?

It looks like they quietly updated the "starting installs" date to October now for COW-3. This has been so frustrating. I've been patient for over a year, but it has cost us a lot of money to keep a more expensive service while being told the fiber installs are just around the corner. Very disappointed.

At one point it appeared that my neighborhood was located in one of the "GRE" zones. Now it appears that the closest zone is Zone 5 "Perk" but my neighborhood is not included. Is Southern Oaks addition still part of your fiber optic service plan? Is there a service date I can look forward to?

The backer page says I am in PEG 4 - FOUR CORNERS. Is there a way to see a map of that zone? Also, service is available in PEG 1 - LOST CITY. Does that mean you need to build out PEG 2 & 3 before starting PEG 4? I am not sure if the numbering indicates order of installation. Future PEG zones are Phase III, which is 18 months away if I am reading your Updates page correctly. Thank you.

User Avatar

Mark - you are correct. We have completed the PEG1 feeder, and in the future (phase III), we will release PEG2, PEG3, PEG4 for construction. Unfortunately, we do not have a completion date yet for Phase III zones/feeders. However, we hope to release Phase III to construction this fall and have a better timeline for completing Phase III.

Hello, just following up on COW-2 installations. We are moving to the area at the end of the month and trying to determine if we will have internet soon or if we need to sign up with a competitor? Thanks for your help, W. Hilburn

We understand the frustration - we are pushing to start installs in all the Coweta feeders (COW1, COW2, COW3) in late July. We are working to bring up the equipment and test the light signal on all these new lines. Thank you for your interest in our new fiber-to-the-home network.

I'm in COW-2 and the are SO CLOSE. It's very frustrating after months and months of delays. They've even trenched to the house and installed the box, but that was almost a month ago.

What is the status of the Porter area? It says June 2021. I know we are only two days into the month but people would like an update. Also, Im starting to wonder if the internet speed is going to be as slow as the installation? I do construction for a living and know that this is taking way to long!

Clyde - our goal is to start calling customers for in-home installations by the end of June for the fiber zones Livesay, Coweta, and Jenkins. Please bear with us as we continue to work to bring high-speed internet to your area.

We live in GRE2 4-13 zone. We had guys come spray and place an orange flag to dig the lines I imagine. That has been a couple of weeks ago but they haven't come back. Should I be concerned or is it just taking longer?

User Avatar

9:03AM June 04, 2021

Matt, no need to be concerned. We have your address issued to an underground contractor. We have had lots of rain, and the ground is wet. Once we see the ground start to dry out, we will be back at your location to complete your service drop.

I live in the HID 3 zone and placed an order a couple of months back. In my Dashboard, the progress is set to "No goal required" what does that mean? Is there an estimated date for my service?

Butch, unfortunately, you are on a section of power lines we have not completed yet, with fiber optic. Your road E 111th St S will be completed in our Phase III construction. We will call you once we have service available along your road in Coweta.
