Why is there a small section obviously taken out of Park Hill area coverage and added to Welling? We can see the fiber optic at the end of my son's drive. I can stand in my front yard and see the end of service. We are told our service has to come from Welling, 2 miles across the river from our house. If that is the way your engineers design, then you need to find some new ones. My guess is that we don't count because there a just a few of us, and you won't make much money off us. Explain to me the engineering and the reason behind it that leaves us out, if it isn't the money one.

Leigh, our engineers' team, maps out the most efficient and reliable way to bring fiber to your area. In general, our fiber optic lines follow the same path as LREC’s power lines. This is the Park Hill Feeder 1, same route the electric lines are existing, east of the Park Hill substation on E Willis Rd. We feed the electric service across the Illinois River to Welling area. So our fiber optic lines will follow the same path. This is also a more sparsely populated feeder, with fewer homes per mile of line.
